Human’s nature (Envy and Jealousy)

Have you ever had the feeling of owning everything you ever wanted and still wanted more? Or simply eager to take it away from your rival who possesses something that you might find fascinating? Or maybe afraid you might lose something you love unexpectedly to another person? Well, the answer is simply because of the human nature that is to be best and beat the rest.

In this materialistic world, there are always politics, enviousness and jealousy just humming around your ears and honing around the neighborhood. That is just the nature of the material world. It’s impossible to avoid it. However, the spiritual world is just the opposite: there are no politics, no jealousy or enviousness. That will be the nature of the spiritual world. Doesn’t it sound better if the world was simple as that?

But the material world is build up by all those nasty things. Notice that now we are in the material world. So we see these things in our everyday occurrence such as politics, jealousy, enviousness, anger, depression, lust and pride. Not only that, material tendencies are even there in the animal kingdom itself.

Some of you might be wondering, why do all of us are so materialistic when it comes to be in the situation whereas to determine who is the leading character?? This is simply an emotion that is within every individual regardless of their age which is envy. Enviousness is due to the nature of material consciousness, material desire, lamentation and greed. This is due to a cause when the patient (a person who suffers from envy) has the perspective of someone who is superior in many aspects compare to himself such as looks, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lack of it. When a person is envy, the situation tends to be serious where it doesn't matter even if they are friends or family members. What to speak of enemies, there is envy even between husband and wife, the most intimate relationships. There is a saying “~ The world of empirical morality consists for the most part of nothing but ill will and envy.” by the great German writer and polymath name Johann Wolfgang von Goethe which has greatly acknowledged me to see what the world has morph into.

Besides that, jealousy is also a major problem with teenagers and adults. Based on my years of studies, I can’t possibly imagine of how many of my friends have fall to this emotion distress in my pass encounters. Jealousy occurs when three or more individuals are involved to be the rightful owner of something. I believe some of you might be confuse with jealousy and envy. Thus, to fully understand the mechanism of jealousy, here is an example of a situation. Try to imagine a boy name Joe and two girls name Christina and Angela respectively. Christina and Joe were couples but Angela feels that she would be a better girlfriend compare to Christina. So Angela (the jealous person) won’t allow Christina to enjoy it. To make the matter worse, the jealous person might tend to harm you or even snatches away what was rightfully or seems to be yours for the moment. As a saying goes, “Love sees sharply, hates sees even more sharply, but Jealously sees the sharpest for it is love and hate at the same time.” by the Arabic proverbs.

For further knowledge, envy and same goes to jealous is considered a sinful act among most religions such as the Christians, Islam, Hindus and so on. The Christian Catholics, according to their bible, The book of Exodus (exo pg 20:17) states "You shall not covet your neighbor house; you shall not covet your neighbor wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." and consider one of the seven most deadly sins of the Catholic Church.

In an Islamic country such as Malaysia, envy (Hassad in Arabic) and jealous is considered very harmful and strictly forbidden to fellow Muslims whereby the Prophet Mohammad said, “Envy influences faith disruptively just as aloe spoils the taste of honey.” and the Prophet also states “Do not feel happy about troubles of your brother-in-faith(whom you envy).Allah, He Who is the Most High and Mighty, thus bestows on him His blessing (He will save him from the difficulties), whereas you are being tested [whether you are able to sympathize with other man’s grief and try to help him, or you are happy about his troubles]"is strictly stated in Holy Qur’an. The Holy Qur'an and the Bible also states that the first sin in heaven was cause by Iblis (Satan) whereby Iblis envied the privileged position of the newly created Adam and Eve.

What have happen to the world now? That answer will remain blank. Only time will tell. ~ This is Yogern, and I’m dedicating this article to all of you out there that is unable to control your emotions due to the lack of attention and also those who lust for attention. Please reconsider what I listed above. Seek help from doctors, psychologist, school counselor, parents and family members or even close friends who actually cared about you and not those wanting to harm you!!!

What is Taare Zameen Par? Hahaha~ actually it's an hindi movie! it means "stars in my heart" if i'm not mistaken...

i watched it when i was in a camp...and i find it was very funny, interesting, and touching *sobs*

Sir, please take one

How's holidays guys? Sleep in the house for the whole week? playing computer games? Or doing move ahead english?? I think only the nasi lemak guy started doing homework...

So, today I've helped my brother in law to give flyers around damansara area. Actually I only had one experience in it that was on last two years ago. First, When I reached there, I was so nervous! I was so shy in giving flyer because I don't like the feeling of getting rejected. I think those who had worked in this field can understand the feeling.

I walked into a tuition center courtyard and trying to put the flyers on their car screen. After that, an uncle came and told me putted there is not a good idea because there already got tuition center so if I putted there is not that good. So I gave up on that place. I just focused on the primary school students. ( the flyer is about education studies)

I saw some of the parents they were smile and accepted the flyer but some of them were so cruel, they just treated me like a transparent. huh!! Then I saw some cute kids just like to busy-body take whatever they see. Some of them even shyer than me and not dare to take the flyer from me. haha...

My Holiday by Yen Thung

Yesterday I just came back from Penang, my hometown. When we talk about Penang Island what's the first thing we think off? It's FOOD. Yeah! I just gain 2kg after this 6 days 5 nights trip. Gonna work hard and start on diet now. If not going to be a fatty bom bom when you guys see me while school re-open. Ha!

These few days I didn't visit much places. Just visited my cousins and of cause my main objective: EAT! Laksa, Mee Rebus, Hokkien mee, sea food, rojak, noodles soup and many more! The only place I visited is the most famous temple, Kek Lok Shi. It's very nice after renovation. We took ferry from Georgetown to Penang Island and daddy drive us there. Here to share some photos with you guys. =) Seriously, I don't know how to add a caption on those photos. Anyone can teach me?

Malaysians Delicacy ( Nasi Lemak )

The Malay word Nasi Lemak that literally means 'rice in cream' is derived from the cooking process whereby the rice is soaked in the coconut cream and left it to steam for several hours. In some culture, an addition of ginger , lemon grass or maybe screw pine leaves are used to enhance the fragrance.

Beside that, it is also well known for the way it was served. Traditionally, nasi lemak comes as a platter of food wrapped in banana leaves together along with hard boiled egg , a few slices of cucumber up to two or three , roasted peanuts, anchovies( ikan bilis ) and non the least the hot and FREAKING spicy sauce or you might call it sambal at its core.

Well, without denying the fact that nasi lemak can be quite mouth watering to say the least but some people might find it less of their appetite, this is due to the fact that some people for example my friend Christopher would prefer to have at least a piece of fried chicken in his daily basis. LOL !

All right, i guess we can work that out. By making the food more substantial , why not we add a variety of accompaniments to it ?? Nasi lemak can be added with this few eligible substance that will stimulate your taste bud to a whole new level. Heres a few suggestion, make sure to note this down. Chicken is a good source of protein and millions I mean MILLIONS of people in the world will be happy if a chicken is in their meal. However, seafoods such as fish, cuttlefish , cockle( kerang ) and shrimps or even tiger prawns is recommended. As well as some vegetarians that would prefer vegetables instead of chicken or seafood are not excuse because stir fried convolvulus (kangkung) and pickled vegetables ( achar ) are usually good combination with the red hot spicy sambal .There was one time in the morning where I came across this unique type of nasi lemak when i was walking along the pedestrian cross and i glimpse this old lady selling nasi lemak , she gave me this wicked looked on her eyes that kinda bothers me a little but i could not ignored it so I walk up to her stall and just peep at the menu and found out that her nasi lemak has an ' extra ' ingredient which is literally illegal for me to eat it because of my religious views but is consider okay for some people which is the beef. The beef she prepared is like some sort of rendang (stewed in coconut milk and spice) style and its gives out a tendering aroma and I do believe the meat is tender too.

Hachiko, The Loyal Dog by ShuLee

Movie time again =P
This Wednesday, went Pavilion with Carmen. Wednesday is a perfect day to watch movie, because tickets are cheaper on Wednesday.

So, we took LRT to Hang Tuah station, then walked to Pavilion to proof that the monorail from Hang Tuah to Bukit Bintang is functionless.
Passed by Fahrenheit 88, known as KL Plaza before renovation, our eyes were attracted by UNIQLO, the Japanese most famous fashion brand. It always reminds me about F.O.S. I feel that these two brands are very alike.

Even their logos =P

When we reached Pavilion, we saw very unique Christmas decoration outside the mall.

The fountain is decorated with poinsettia, and a big red ornament. It's very nice.

Unfortunately, when we walked into the mall, the decoration inside made us disappointed.

It's still nice, but yet, it's too ordinary.

We went to Golden Screen Cinema to buy tickets for the movie Hachiko: A Dog's Story.

Then, we walked around inside the shopping mall before the movie started.
We saw some famous local TV artists and businessmen, and found that there was the opening ceremony for Universal Traveler(sells sweater, gloves etc) in Pavilion.

12.40pm, we went into the cinema to watch our movie. We watched about 20 advertisements before the movie started, the first time we watched so many advertisements in theater.
The movie is about a dog that came from Japan, found by a professor in the train station. The professor then become it's master. Everyday the professor goes work by train, Hachiko(the dog) will accompany him to the station. In the evening, Hachiko will wait for his master at the station too. One day, the professor passed away suddenly. Hachiko still go to the station everyday to wait for his master, for more than nine years, until it died.
The story is very touching. Both Carmen and I cried for Hachiko's story. At the end of the movie, it told that there was a real Hachiko in Japan.

People even made a Hachiko statue at Shibuya Station in Japan.

I suggest this movie those who want to go for an awesome movie. Because it's very worth to watch this movie.

After the movie, both of us were hungry. We had our lunch at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng. The food there is just OK, but the interior design is quite nice.

Megajoel by Joel mind

last wednesday, I went to pavilion with my friends, Chee chung, Hoong Ling, Phei lian, Gih peng, Geok Ying, Rachel and Ka ming to see a movie: Megamind. haha, actually we planned it very early to release our exam stress. We realize that after we move to form 4 life, everything become different, harder, complicated. So, once we finished our examination, we must find something to release our stress, if not we will become crazy.

first I will talk about the activities we did on that day. We went karaoke at 11am. girls and boys will separated because they said if boys were there, they would not dare to sing out. haha, gih peng felt so sad... (don't let him see the website) actually I also prefer to separate because too many people I hardly to get a chance to sing.

after that, we went to get the tickets. (Rachel bought it by e-payment). after that, we saw the cosplay Megamind came out to promote the movie. I took the opportunity to take picture with Megamind. Hoong ling told me that I looked like Megamind.... so she named me as "Megajoel". but my brother told me that Joelmind nicer. haha, what do you think?

the movie, erm.... quite satisfied, the plot is very good, the character I like the most is also Megamind, but I hope I can have the power of metroman, the superhero in the movie. The ending is also very good. the minor character, minion is also very cute. after few days I purposely went to Mcdonald to buy happy meal to get the minion toy. haha...

the moral value I can learn in this movie is to be kindness. Megamind,he is a very bad guy at first, always jealous to metroman finally regret to what he had done to metroman. the bad character, Titan (also call hal), tried to revenge because of Megamind lying, finally get his punishment.

what a holiday

it's holiday time now...i think everybody have their things to do in these days.

Actually before holiday I've planned to go for tuition at Kasturi tuition center...but the plannings seems cannot be done...it's holiday man! who wants to go for tuition in the nice holiday like this!?

November seems so short...see? today is already 20th. December is coming soon...i'm quite busy in december~

Today i went to St.John hq to practice footdrill with the juniors..So i woke up at 6.45am. (zZz you guys are still snoring in your warm bed when this time) In the afternoon i went to The Mines to support Hoong Ling for her book selling and visit the book fair. I've bought 2 books of hers, anyone interested with her books? Give a ring to Hoong Ling for more info!

actually,i have nothing to write or report....

this holiday is quite boring....
as i said,
i am going to have a holiday which i will only having 4 important things to do:

that day,
the first day of my holiday,
i went back to my primary school...
many things had changed....
i felt proud of it...
hope there is one day,
i can work in it...
with my teachers that are always lovely....

Nightmare by Yen Thung

Just now Shu Lee had asked me to write the second post. This is the first time I share a post on blog as I don't have a blog before. Even I do is the report for Leo blog which is very formal. So I had contributed my first time to the class blog. Ha! =)

Okay, here to share something that I saw at Hoong Ling's status just now. Hoong Ling had updated her status and tagged me in a post. She wrote: I had a horrible nightmare yesterday, I dreamed off my classmates which is Yen Thung, Joel, Po Wei, Shu Lee, Kah Yan and Yogern and I get caught to Chemistry teacher's house and teacher gave each of us a set of Chemistry questions and we to answer it in half an hour. If not cannot go home.......

After I saw this post I laughed non-stop as it's really funny. But I got things which I really don't understand. 1. Why must be Chemistry paper? 2. Who caught us to teacher's house? 3. Why it have to be few of us? T.T

I also dreamed off our Chemistry teacher once, also in a nightmare. Don't know why. May be she is strict and fierce =[ I had forgotten what is the dream about. Just a terrible nightmare. I hope one day I can meet her in my dream, but a very sweet dream. Sweet sweet dream. =]

I hope that teachers scolded us for reasons, not just because he/she is in a bad mood. A teacher play a important role in a student's life. Some of them can even changed a student's life. I personally think that Cik Azura has a big influence to the whole 4Sc1. She never failed to make us laugh. All of us can feel her positive energy through her teaching style. =] We love her so much.

The first Post by ShuLee

So, I'm going to start the first post now.
Miss Lydia, since this is a blog, I'll write in a very casual way. If I make some grammar mistakes, please don't angry with me. =P

As everyone knows, I'm a student reporter. The "Sin Chew Daily" is going to train another batch of student reporters in this holiday. There are four form 3 students from our school attended the interview for 25th Student Reporters last weekend. The interview took place at the "Sin Chew Daily" office in Petaling Jaya. No doubt the four juniors don't know how to go to the newspaper office, neither their parents. Therefore, I needed to wake up early in the morning to bring them to there.

7.30 in the morning, we met at Maluri LRT station and took LRT to Masjid Jamek LRT station. Then, we walked to Central Market, because there is a bus that can take us to the newspaper office from Central Market. We met with other student reporters, then went up to the bus that can bring us to our destination. The bus were full of 'student reporters', all of us were chit-chating to each other. Along the journey, we saw the bus conductor was eating something non-stop but we didn't know what was she eating.

Around 9 o'clock, we arrived the newspaper office. After the registration, we sat in the canteen to wait the interview session to start. I saw all juniors from other schools were very nervous for the interview. In contrast, my four juniors were not nervous at all, especially the 3 boys, they were very excited! They talked to every student reporters in the canteen, asking their experiences, even FORCED my friends to share experiences to them. They were three crazy persons like the three actors in an Indian Movie, "3 Idiots". The interview started about 10.30am.

I was walking around in the canteen while they were called to interview. I was surprised that I met an old friend that I knew in the Drama Camp last year! She told me she is the only one come to this interview from her school. Originally, she felt very lonely because no one accompanied her, but she felt very happy when she saw me there. I am very happy to see her there too, because I never think I could meet my friends from Drama Societies in student reporters' activities.

After the interview session ended, we took the same bus back to Petaling Street. On the way back, we were all very tired. I think it was because we woke up too early and we walked a lot before we reached "Sin Chew Daily" office. I captured a very funny picture on the bus and I would like to share it here.

Ta Da! Hahaha~ It's one of the juniors from our school. He was sleeping with his mouth opened!
